Dennis van Bregt has built an impressive career as a data scientist, which started in the financial industry and spanned various areas such as logistics, supply chain management and operations management. His expertise in ERP implementations eventually led him into ERP and MDM. With his experience in MDM and content management, he deepened his knowledge in digital analytics. In the last five years, van Bregt has focused on technical aspects of data platforms and pipelines, governance in terms of privacy, security, quality and data literacy, as well as analytics and AI/machine learning, which emphasises his extensive knowledge in data science.
Lígia has a successful history of work with data and digital products in the agriculture sector with proven deliveries to improve team performance. She is a professional with a Dr. rer. nat. focused in Molecular Biotechnology and Systems Biology from University of Kaiserslautern that has lead multi-cultural teams in the Americas and Europe, and that is always up to learn new things.
Leonid Torgovitski is a Lead Data Scientist and In-house Consultant at Generali, specializing in advanced data analytics and machine learning. With a doctorate in Applied Mathematics from the University of Cologne, he brings deep technical expertise to developing data-driven solutions that support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
Sven Wilbert switched to the banking industry after studying astrophysics in Würzburg. He started in Banking compliance in the UK and moved on to work as an IT Consultant in the area of Big Data with focus on baking. He was involved in various projects in the areas of software implementation, institution mergers and due diligence with focus on Integration Architecture, data management, analytics and reporting. He then worked as lead engineer on the creation of a data analytics platform at NORD/LB. Furthermore, he moved to NORD/LB in the summer of 2020 and has since been working as a data manager with a wide range of tasks in various projects in analytics, data- and bank management. Since beginning of 2024 he is vice lead for NORD/LBs data architecture.
I am currently responsible for the product "Data Platforms", part of the domain "Automatisiertes Fahren, E/E Absicherung, Fahrzeugerprobung" at the BMW Group. Prior to that I was responsible for global data platforms at BMW hosting use cases across multiple domains in the company, like manufacturing, connected Drive, vehicle development, finance or marketing.
Prior to BMW I was leading all global efforts related to Big Data, Personalization and Digital Analytics at PAYBACK which is part of the American Express group.
I hold a PhD and a diploma in Computer Science from the University of Innsbruck / Austria and the University of Passau / Germany respectively.
Since my diploma studies, I developed an interest in intelligent use of data and semantics to drive businesses in multiple industries.
